The Rev. Jacki BelileTomorrow, we’ll gather for worship and fellowship as usual. Whether on Zoom or in Room, may we come in expectation for balm and blessing.  Our discipline of showing up in real time to grow and serve is an example of putting our heart into Christ’s work. I treasure these times together!

ALSO tomorrow!  Interested vocalists from Eden and beyond will drop in for one of the ongoing rehearsals of the Community Chorus singing a few numbers in the neighborhood Thanksgiving Celebration on November 20 at 3pm.  We’re co-sponsoring with Redeemer of Calvary, Third Place Chicago, Mayfair Presbyterian and others.  Are you interested in singing in the community chorus?  Rehearsals are ongoing for convenience, on Wednesdays at 7pm and/or Sundays at 11:30am. The chorus is singing mostly familiar inclusive hymns. Approximately four. Contact Floyd Rueger for more information at 773-736-1457.

ALSO ALSO tomorrow is our walk to end hunger!  This annual pilgrimage is a sign to the world that people of good will are determined to share resources and solve problems that create hunger.  Eden has participated in The Chicago CROP Hunger Walk for more than a decade.  We’ve raised something like $5,000-$7500 each year with donations to our team and given by individuals.  Thanks to Linda Stirk for coordinating and communicating this year! Gifts given through November 30th can support this cause and our Team Eden’s goal of $7500.  Thanks to Gail and Steve Angel for stewarding this Eden experience for so long; we all look forward to walking together.

Bless all who are walking in body or spirit!(You can choose to walk in solidarity somewhere else convenient to you if you cannot join the group.)

In Christ’s Peace,
Pastor Jacki
