That’s what the great sign says outside my retreat center in Frankfort, Illinois, near the driveway I exit on way home tonight. I welcome the reminder and will take the message personally!
I’ve continued to savor last weekend’s terrific energy, and I hope you have as well. Much to ponder, many to thank, sails to unfurl. Watch for a dedicated e-blast this weekend as we light up proper testimony to the great series, culminating in our service of dedication and recital.
As we move onward in Sunday gatherings “more intimate,” I pray you’ll remember that broader cloud of witnesses in body and spirit who bless us with their prayers and goodwill. I pray you’ll remember that Jesus really did say, we assume. “Where two or three are gathered, there I am.” I pray that you’ll cherish, draw on, and tend the fellowship of Eden each and every week as we learn new things about “embodying sanctuary for a new day.”
To that end, we’ll be spooling up a regular fellowship hour in the weeks going forward. Join us beginning October 2nd for simple refreshments and community building following worship.
In Christ’s Peace,
Pastor Jacki
A PERSONAL WORD FROM CARLA RIGGS
Dear Eden Friends,
Thank you, again, for your consistent prayers for my family since my Dad’s recent fall from a ladder. Dad spent eleven days in an Indianapolis hospital and transferred this week to a rehab center in Terre Haute. He is making steady progress. I spoke with him on his second day in rehab, and he had been in physical therapy for three hours and had walked twice with a walker to the dining room for meals. I give thanks for the medical teams that have cared for him and for the divine work of healing and recovery. Please continue to pray for steady recovery for my dad (Richard) and pray also for my mom (Deanna). They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last week in the hospital. Thank you!
