See weekend reflection and stuff below. On a personal word we’re very grateful for your care and prayer as we traveled to Indiana last week after Carla’s dad’s fall. Here’s an update from her:

Dear Eden Family… Thank you for your prayers and support for my family and for Jacki and me, following my Dad’s fall from a ladder. My Dad is doing remarkably well, given the extent of his injuries (spinal fracture, six broken ribs, broken clavicle, and punctured lung). He had surgery on Friday to insert a rod and stabilize his spine, and he is steadily improving. Thank you for your prayers! Thus far, there is no indication of nerve damage from the spinal injury, and his lung is healing. The medical team is managing his pain, and Dad has been alert and making conversation — including making clear that he fully intends to get back on that ladder! Meanwhile, my mom is threatening to sell the ladders, so they will need to sort that out, but Dad’s determination is a good sign and will help him to recover. He was transferred out of ICU yesterday. Please continue to pray for him (Richard), for steady improvement hour by hour.

Thank you all for your understanding and support regarding Jacki’s and my unexpected absence from on-site worship Sunday. (Jacki was glad she zoomed in:))  We were able to spend a few days at the hospital in Indianapolis and be with my mom (Deanna) and with other family who gathered there to provide support.

LET US BUILD A HOUSE WHERE LOVE CAN DWELL…

That’s on my mind, as we rededicate space and organ and ourselves through the special events this weekend. We inhabit and share and bless “our” spiritual house (which, we are…)

May it be our common prayer.

We gather this week prayerfully (in song and scripture and candles Thursday), and for fellowship (campfire and breakfast and reception) and outreach (the whole thing) and joyful intentional SANCTUARY AND ORGAN dedication.  I think there will be somewhere between 50 and 200 people here Sunday! (o, for the day when people really rsvpd…)

Thanks to Nora and Larry for fleshing out the outdoor/youth and family fun and connecting piece adjacent to breakfast time. Spread the word that Sno-Cones will be offered on site by Rep. LaPointe and Sen. Martwick’s offices, between 10:15-11:30am Saturday.

Teamwork pieces are falling into place, and with some additional needs as follows:

1-folding/stapling 200 programs – between thursday evening and sunday afternoon, at church or at home

2-Helping with space prep, organization (“office” clutter – today between 2-5, Thursday after 3pm, friday after 4pm)

3- Not already scheduled to help Saturday? Very helpful to know if you can come late in morning, or later in afternoon to take care of clean-up and set upp for sunday.

4- Reception set-up2-3pm on sunday. Hovering/hosting angel energy 4:15-5:30ish, helping clean-up after that

 And remember, if you need to come and sit still in beauty with me, the sanctuary will be open for silent prayer and candle lighting (and communion if you want) Sunday morning 10am-11am.

May these labors of love glorify God… and we’ll know that by the measure of satisfaction and lessons and joy we know.
