That’s the sermon series we’re in, and hopefully Sunday’s reflections on the healing story from John 9 will invite us to face some truths in the service of our spiritual growth.

But in the meantime, I confess I am just touched this week to think of all that you and I and we are “facing on the road with Jesus.”  Know that I hold you in prayer daily and my door is always open. Know that I believe God’s will is for your encouragement and support and strengthening to engage whatever struggles are yours to face.  Know that God sees your heart through the eyes of Jesus Christ the Healer and Liberator.  Whatever you must face this Lent, Christ has proclaimed  and secured your favor in God’s sight.  With the gift of the Spirit, you will be freed from all you need to be freed from in order to hear it and see it and trust it.

I’m so glad we’re on the journey together.
