I am meditating on the love alive in this place due to the grace of Jesus Christ. I am meditating on the holy days unfolding, all of our respective burdens and the need for comfort and courage (the gifts of the Christ Child we’ve been remembering this season).
I am savoring the “deeper joy” of last week’s worshipful party and last night’s movie night (thanks Mike and Larry), the open house fun to be had Saturday and Monday 11-2. Saturday will have a special focus on kitchen time with Patty, Shelly, Jacki and simple first-floor crafts. Monday will be a special R-Space Holiday Drop Off. (Bring lunch if you’re hanging.)
We conclude Advent with the Candle of Love tomorrow and our traditional Christmas Eve service Tuesday at 7pm. I’m delighted that our friend Andrew Barnes Jamieson will be with us for both services and grateful in advance for our choir and other special music.
May these moments strengthen your Spirit to the glory of God.
Finally, I want to share a unique trio of recordings for your reflection:
