It’s been exactly one year since we announced the capital campaign which eventually was named “Raising the Roof: Restoring Eden’s Sanctuary and Song.” God is great!  And we know this through the prayers, creativity, and giving of our community and so many friends. In this year, we have raised around $95,ooo to be added to the initial seed money of more than 19K.   (This is in addition to the insurance claim check of Fall 2020). 

The work is scheduled for July. We know we have much prayer and work yet before us so that we complete it, pay off any debts and stay focused on MINISTRY.  On this anniversary week, I ask you to take a moment to pause and reflect on the spiritual dynamics you’ve experienced or noticed as we’ve undertaken this call.  

What has it felt like to you?  What have you noticed? What have you learned about yourself or others?   What has (or does now) concern you?  What has surprised you? If you have felt disconnected from the community project, is there something we can do to include you better?

As we head off into vacation, I know there is so much yet to be done (on this and so many other things).  Yet my mind and heart are at rest as I ponder God’s sufficiency and power, and the joy of seeing these expressed in our midst.
