Rev. Jacki BelileDear Eden Family,

You’re in my constant thoughts and prayers.  I’m camped out at the church most weekdays, inhabiting this holy space in a way that keeps me focused on you all as we inhabit our home spaces and the spaces between us (Zoom) in this strange time.

The Eden Church Council had a very fruitful and faithful meeting Sunday evening, in which we considered  a triage map for this time.  There’s much we don’t know about what we’ll face together in this pandemic season.  What we do know is that we’re committed to worship and fellowship, in fresh ways.  We’re committed to expressions of pastoral and community care in ways that are encouraging and of practical assistance. We’re committed to a meaningful Holy Week which might just strike a deeper chord in our souls than some years. We’re committed to being good stewards of building and finance.  We’re committed to reducing expenses where common sense would lead us, and to thoughtfully proceeding on use of designated funds (grants, roof etc) on a timeline that is safe and wise.

The way I put it in my notes: May we emerge from this forced (in-person) sabbath ready for whatever is next!  Below are some highlights of plans underway.

Please do not hesitate to reach out for prayer or conversation at any time.

In Christ’s Peace,
Pastor Jacki
